If you were ever concerned about what you were going to do all day during your stay with us, you’re in for a surprise. You’ll see that there’s never a dull moment around here, and you can be as active and entertained as you choose!

Activities

Come Join The Fun

Our Activities Program is full of fun, informative, and entertaining events for everyone. Each day there are plenty of activities to not only keep you busy, but you will find it is a great place where you can go to socialize with others during your stay. Join us for ice cream socials, arts and crafts classes, music appreciation, current events, or a cooking class.  We also feature many local artists and musicians showing off their talents. Once you arrive, the Activities Department will discuss your interests and hobbies and assess your activity level with you and your family.  A custom and personalized program will then be developed to meet your individual needs.

Not up for group activities? No problem. We’ll come to you, right there in your room.

Each room is equipped with a telephone (upon request) and a flat screen television.  Each TV is equipped with multichannel TV service.  We also feature a special Channel that explains some of the various amenities our facility has to offer.  Our channel also includes special video presentations that are shown at various times throughout the day.

Excursions

Let’s Go Out & Hit The Town

We’ll gladly take you to the local shopping mall for some “retail therapy”.  We have these trips regularly scheduled, so ask us about our next excursion, or check the Calendar of Events on each floor so you don’t miss out.

Church Services

Religious programs have always played an important role here at Downey Post Acute.  We have several different church services available in different denominations.  We are happy to accommodate everyone who wants to participate, regardless of preference.

If you want to learn something new, we’re happy to teach you, and chances are, we’ll learn something from you, too. So if you have any special skills you’d like to share with us, we would love to incorporate them into our schedule – just let us know.
